Unit 2 Book Report - Due November 24th
The genre choices for the next book report include Myth, Fable, Folklore, and Fairytale. The book need not be 100 pages long this time. Students can choose a picture book, or one short story within a compilation of stories. For example, if you find a book of Greek myths, you may chose one myth to focus on.
Students can either choose a classic version of the tale, or they may choose a modern, adapted novel that fits with the genre, like Sister’s Grim or the Percy Jackson Series.
Book reports are due on Monday, November 24th. The project will focus on summary skills, through a storyboard format. Students need to focus on the main events, or the most important events that tell the the story. The rubric and two examples follow. Students will receive their own copy of the rubric/directions.
