This was a multi-step art project.
First students did a value study in gray scale.
I cut this photo of MLK up into 1 inch square pieces.
Then each student received tiny piece of the puzzle (1 square inch).
They transferred the value and proportion of the tiny piece into a 5 by 5 inch piece of paper.
Then we put the big pieces together to see how it turned out. Pretty cool.
